Washington D.C. (VIRTUAL)—More than 35 companies, investors, and trade associations prepare to make the case to U.S. Congress at LEAD on a Clean Economy 2026 next week for bipartisan policies that lower energy costs, boost American manufacturing, and strengthen industries shaping the 21st century economy. Members of the media are invited to join a virtual briefing with businesses and policymakers.Â
The eighth annual LEAD (Lawmaker Education and Advocacy Days) event comes at a pivotal moment to capitalize on momentum in Congress as permitting reform negotiations resume. At the same time, rising energy demand—driven by a boom in artificial intelligence, data centers, and domestic manufacturing—is increasing costs and constraining investment in America. From March 17-19, dozens of major businesses will meet with congressional and agency officials to underscore the urgent opportunity for bipartisan action on critical policies that deliver long-term economic benefits.Â
During this briefing, private sector leaders and federal policymakers will discuss the need to advance comprehensive permitting and transmission reform to accelerate the deployment of affordable, reliable, homegrown clean energy. Â
