Uzma Hashmi

Uzma Hashmi joined Ceres in August 2021 and brings over 19 years of executive support experience to her role as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Program Officer (CPO). At Ceres she works with the EVP/CPO to integrate programmatic priorities across the organization, acts as their primary point of contact, and works closely with the Innovation and Evaluation team to help develop and manage program support systems.
 
Before coming to Ceres, Uzma worked in a similar role for 12 years at Sodexo, reporting directly to the Vice President while supporting and managing cross-functional communication for three senior directors. She holds both a BA and an MA in English Literature from Karachi University. Uzma is also deeply passionate about helping to educate children and underprivileged women through her work with several Pakistan-based NGOs.
 
When not at her computer, one can find Uzma tending to her garden or in the kitchen cooking some of her favorite Pakistani foods.
