Marc Diaz serves as Chief Financial Officer of Regenerative Social Finance (RSF), where he ensures the financial health of the organization. He leads financial planning, analysis, operations, and strategy, building the strong financial foundation that supports RSF’s long-term mission to change finance and finance change.
Prior to RSF, Marc Diaz served as Chief Commercialization Officer at Terviva, leading Terviva’s global work to scale the farming of pongamia oilseed trees, which produce food, feed, and fuel that mitigate and adapt to climate change. Marc has spent over a decade as a responsible investing field leader where he launched and led NatureVest, the impact investing platform of The Nature Conservancy, and the UNICEF Bridge Fund, where he served as Managing Director. He began his career in management consulting at McKinsey & Company serving public, private and nonprofit sector clients while in New York and Washington, DC.
Marc is a Herndon Directors Institute Fellow, a 2017 Aspen Institute Finance Leaders Fellow and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. He is on the President’s Council of Ceres, a leading NGO making the business case for sustainability. He currently serves as the Board Chair of the grassroots social justice Tides Network. Marc has served in volunteer board leadership roles in philanthropy, community development finance, theater, and The Episcopal Church.
Marc earned his MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and holds an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School. He graduated cum laude with a BA in Government from Harvard College. He lives in Berkeley, CA and in his free time enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with his husband and their retired racing greyhounds.
