Lori Collins is a climate finance leader focused on accelerating private investment in climate solutions. She brings cross-sector experience with prior leadership roles at LendingTree, Bank of America, and Fidelity Investments as well as more than 15 years in the energy sector.
Lori is the founder and principal of Collins Climate Consulting where she advises investors, energy companies, non-profits, and governments. She operationalized and advances the Global Adaptation and Resilience Investment (GARI) Group, a global nonprofit catalyzing investment in climate resilience, in partnership with Bezos Earth Fund, ClimateWorks and the World Bank among others. She was lead author of GARI’s 2024 flagship report, The Unavoidable Opportunity, which highlights the growing investment case for climate resilience.
Previously, Lori launched the Joules Accelerator in Charlotte, which was one of the early clean technology accelerators in the U.S. and now the largest in the Southeast supporting high-impact climate startups. Lori was also on the original executive team at LendingTree that led the company through a successful exit.
Lori holds degrees from the University of Edinburgh, Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative Fellow. She served on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Environmental Financial Advisory Board as well as the boards of the Southeastern Wind Coalition, TreesCharlotte, the International Women’s Forum (IWF) of Carolinas. She splits her time between Charlotte, NC and Cambridge, MA.
