Abbey is a member of Ceres’ federal policy team, focusing on electric power sector policy. In this role she works with a wide variety of voices to build the business case for ambitious federal climate and clean energy policy.
Prior to joining Ceres, Abbey worked as a Stakeholder Engagement Specialist for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations where she worked with the Industrial Demonstrations Program (IDP) to build a wide coalition of stakeholders to support IDP projects and helped negotiate community benefits criteria into multi-million dollar cooperative agreements with private sector partners. Prior to her role with the IDP team, Abbey worked for OCED’s Director and Chief of Staff, supporting OCED’s decarbonization efforts across its $20 billion portfolio.
Abbey holds a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Political Science from Boston College.
