Ava contributes to and supports the Ceres Accelerator for Sustainable Capital Markets initiatives related to financial institutions, banking and housing finance regulators, state legislators and agencies, and state-level transition plan rulemaking campaigns. Prior to this role, Ava was the Program Associate for Banking and Financial Regulation on the Ceres Accelerator and the Program Assistant on the Accelerator.
Before Ceres, Ava worked with various grassroot nonprofit organizations in the sustainability space. She was the Communications Fellow at Faithful Footprints, a nonprofit that supports congregations and organizations throughout Canada to reduce their carbon footprint through various tools and grants. Her other experiences include internships at the Parliament of World’s Religions Climate Action Task Force, Lutheran Community Services, and the Shepherd’s Garden, a community garden. These experiences have allowed Ava to see the direct impact of nonprofits both at the grassroots level and at the larger international scale.
Ava graduated from Bates College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and a minor in Religious Studies.
