Codes for the Future: A Business Roundtable on High-Performance Buildings (Invite Only)

As a broader scope of policymakers begin to consider the role building codes play in the future of their state’s built environments, the business community has an important role to play in shaping practical, market-driven policies that pair well with modern codes.

This roundtable will convene commercial and industrial building owners, manufacturers, and policymakers, to explore how modern building codes can support building decarbonization while improving competitiveness, reducing operating costs, and creating greater certainty for investment in high-performance buildings.  The discussion will highlight the business case for consistent and robust building codes, providing a forum for stakeholders to identify implementation and market challenges and discuss policy solutions that can accelerate the adoption of cost-effective, energy-efficient technologies in large commercial and industrial buildings.
