As the external landscape continues to evolve, companies are recalibrating how they implement and communicate business sustainability priorities. Chief Sustainability Officers from major companies are responding, as they face complex realities amid shifting expectations and increased public scrutiny. Ceres invites CSOs to a private gathering to discuss strategies for companies to take sustainability and climate action while navigating growing pressures and uncertainty. Ceres is hosting a gathering of the largest North American asset owners and their US-based international peers for a discussion on ‘Investor Engagement in a New Regulatory Environment’. The conversation will dive into key topics related to shareholder rights and investor protection including the shareholder proposal process (i.e. rule 14a-8), stewardship and corporate engagement (e.g. 13G/D reporting, group formation), proxy advisors and voting, and more. This session will aim to address key challenges for investors under the new leadership in the federal government and chart a path forward for continued robust corporate governance activity.
