What We Do
|
|
A key to Ceres' success is an active Coalition of investors and environmental, social and public interest groups. This Coalition, the largest in North America, promotes sustainability by influencing companies and the capital markets to incorporate environmental and social challenges into their decision-making. By leveraging the collective power of investors and other key stakeholders, Ceres has achieved dramatic results.
Benefits of Joining
As a convening and advocacy organization, Ceres brings together a number of organizations to broker change. Ceres provides a vehicle for members of the Coalition to enter into dialogues with companies by brokering direct, honest engagement between stakeholders and corporate leaders. As opportunities arise, Coalition members may also work with Ceres on a variety of initiatives—from trainings and reports to public policy advocacy and events. Coalition members may wish to participate in shareholder advocacy and investor events. Ceres Coalition members advance their missions through working with Ceres while they continue to pursue other actions and strategies.
As a member of Ceres, your organization will:
- Access new opportunities for engagement in constructive dialogue with a broad range of constituencies including multinational companies and investors about sustainability challenges, as part of Ceres stakeholder teams or other convenings;
- Receive discounts for attendance at the Ceres Annual Conference, which draws hundreds of NGO, investment institution, business and government representatives from across the country and around the world;
- May request exhibitor space during the Ceres Annual Conference at no charge;
- Access a number of member-only networking events, including meetings before the Annual Conference, quarterly “Issue Briefing” teleconferences on key sustainability issues or emerging trends, and other opportunities;
- Be highlighted in our materials, such as the Ceres website, Annual Report, and monthly newsletter.
