David Young has decades of experience in the Social, Public and Private sectors in developing strategy and transforming these organizations to achieve greater business, institutional, and societal impact, at higher scale, more quickly. He spent nearly 30 years at BCG, remains a senior advisor to the firm, and recently launched CASCAIDIENT.
While a Fellow at BCG’s Henderson Institute, Dave pioneered and published work on Sustainable Business Model Innovation (SBM-I) captured in his book of the same title. He led BHI’s research on climate and sustainability, including developing new approaches to quantify impacts in the Transition Economy.
Dave stepped away from BCG for a decade to serve as the Global COO of World Vision International, a Christian humanitarian relief, development, advocacy and microfinance organization striving for the sustainable well-being of 150 million of the world's most vulnerable children.
Dave is an advisor to the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society Program, sits on the board of KickStart International, and is an advisor to OCHA’s connecting business initiative CBi and other humanitarian initiatives.
He graduated with an MS in systems engineering from VPI&SU and holds a BS in Physics, Mathematics, and Religion from Mount Union University.
