Ceres works with investors specifically to better manage carbon, water and supply chain risks, and ramp up global investments in clean energy and sustainable food and water systems.
In addition, Ceres Investor Network members pressure stock exchanges and capital market regulators to improve climate and sustainability risk disclosure, and opportunities to advocate for stronger climate, clean energy and water policies at all levels of government.

Working Groups
Carbon Asset Risk Working Group
The Carbon Asset Risk Working Group works with investors to develop strategies and tactics for engaging with oil and gas and electric power companies as they transition to a low-carbon economy.
Disclosure Working Group
The Disclosure Working Group is a vehicle for asset owners and managers to share information about, and advocate for, high-quality ESG disclosure. Formerly known as the Investor Initiative for Sustainable Exchanges, it will mobilize around opportunities to bring such disclosure to scale. Stock exchange guidances and rules will remain a priority focus area, as well as policy mandates by legislators, the SEC and global regulators, promoting the uptake of the TCFD’s recommendations, and more opportunities as they arise.

Shareholder Initiative on Climate and Sustainability
The Shareholder Initiative on Climate and Sustainability works with investors seeking to engage on filing shareholder proposals and corporate engagements on key climate, energy and sustainability issues.
Investor Initiative for Sustainable Forests
The Investor Initiative for Sustainable Forests works with investors to assess investment risks and opportunities associated with deforestation and develops effective strategies for engaging with companies whose practices contribute to global greenhouse gas emissions.
Ceres Climate Action 100+ North America
The North American working group of Climate Action 100+ was launched in November, 2017. With more than 70 Investor Network members participating, the working group has organized investor teams to begin engagements with 32 North American focus list companies, and will be coordinating and supporting these engagements.
