Yvonne Chen joined Ceres in April 2021 as manager on the foundation development team. Her role is focused on fundraising from national, regional, and international foundations. She works closely with the climate and energy and Ceres Accelerator programs to develop, steward, and grow funder relationships to ensure continued philanthropic support and manages a portfolio that includes five- and six-figure funders and prospects. 

Prior to joining Ceres, Yvonne was a business development manager at international development organizations where she shepherded proposals and cultivated funding relationships with prime contractors, bilateral organizations and private foundations. Yvonne holds a M.A. of international development from the Elliott School for International Affairs and a B.A. in political science and Spanish from Middlebury College. She is certified in the Shipley method of proposal writing and capture planning, and is a Project Management Institute certified project management professional.
