This webinar discusses how to better assess the investment risks associated with deforestation - including from greenhouse gas emission - with experts from Forest Footprint Disclosure (FFD).
Modeled after the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), FFD seeks to enhance corporate transparency around the identification and management of deforestation risks, both direct risks from company use of wood and pulp, as well as the indirect risks from commodities grown on recently cleared forests, including biofuels, soy, palm oil and beef.
James Hulse, director of FFD, and Christoph Harwood, leader of investor engagement at FFD, will:
- Identify the key sources of risk to investment portfolios from deforestation and unsustainable forest practices
- Explain how the FFD Project can help investors manage risks from deforestation
- Highlight examples of best-in-class deforestation risk management;
- Offer opportunities for investors to directly engage companies on risk management and disclosure, including by leveraging their power as shareholders.
