In his final State of the Union, President Obama once again called for a transition to the clean energy economy needed to meet the climate goal agreed to by nearly every country around the globe last month in Paris. From establishing carbon pollution standards for new and existing power plants to setting the groundwork for increased car and truck efficiency in this country to making the U.S. a true leader in global negotiation, we are grateful for the President's persistence in the face of Congressional inaction. We stand with our partners in the investor and business community in our commitment to keep moving forward in this transition.

While much work is yet to be done, thanks to the President's attention and devotion to tackling climate change over these past seven years, we can now better ensure a more stable and sustainable planet and global economy for our children and for future generations to come.
