Promotional Product Solutions Joins Ceres’ Network of Companies
BOSTON – Citing Promotional Product Solutions’ (PPS) ethical sourcing and socially responsible promotion initiatives, PPS has been approved by the Ceres board of directors as a Ceres company.
PPS, the industry's first and only provider of Socially Responsible Promotions®, joined Ceres to improve its disclosure and help advance the company’s environmental and social responsibility goals. PPS is one of more than 70 companies in the Ceres company network, which includes nearly 30 Fortune 500 corporations.
“Promotional Product Solution’s progress in the area of ethical sourcing and leadership for socially responsible promotion initiatives will make the company a great addition to the Ceres company network,” said Mindy Lubber, President of Ceres, “We look forward to working with PPS to improve their disclosure and further integrate sustainability into every area of their business.”
PPS offers an array of promotional products that are socially conscious and environmentally responsible. In a market of 19,000 distributors, PPS is the first to provide the breadth of socially responsible promotional products. PPS discloses social and environmental information of its products to customers, along with conventional criteria such as cost and performance. By conducting business this way, PPS hopes to raise the bar within the industry and begin the process of making the promotional product industry more sustainable.
“We are very excited and honored to be new member of Ceres,” said Jocelyn Azada, Founder of PPS, “This marks a significant milestone and achievement for our company as a distributor in the promotional products industry and will help us greatly in continually improving our practices to realize a triple bottom line that includes financial, social and environmental value.”
PPS has demonstrated their commitment to sustainability by becoming the first mainstream promotional products industry distributor to develop proprietary, industry-specific criteria to evaluate products for quality, performance, cost and sustainability and social responsibility. PPS has been certified as a Green Business by Coop America and the company is a member of 1% for the Planet—through which they have committed to donate 1% of every sale to environmental conservation efforts.
Companies that join Ceres must make continuous strides in improving their sustainability performance and reporting practices by engaging with investors, environmental groups, and other stakeholders.
Founded in 1989, Ceres is a leading network of investors, environmental groups and other public interest organizations working with companies to address sustainability challenges. Ceres also directs the Investor Network on Climate Risk, comprised of more than 60 institutional investors who collectively manage over $5 trillion in assets.
