“Water conservation” has become the state motto in California as the epic drought continues to sap the region.

Banana Republic wants to raise awareness around sustainability as a small, but important step forward to be more conscious about the environmental impact we all have in our daily lives. In California, where we are headquartered, we recently joined Ceres’ Connect the Drops campaign, a business-led effort to ensure a sustainable water future for California.

Connect the Drops elevates the voice of California businesses in a time of unprecedented drought in favor of resilient water policy and on-the-ground solutions.

Banana Republic customers will soon find water front-and-center in their shopping experience.

We’ve launched a windows campaign in our Banana Republic stores throughout California to bring greater awareness to water scarcity issues facing the region.   We encourage customers to visit www.ceres.org/gapinc to learn what they can do conserve water in their own lives.

Window-shopping is now “connecting the drops.” This is our statement to consumers and fellow businesses that the time to act, and to play a part in the solution, is now.
