Christopher Flensborg
Head of Sustainable Products and Product Development, SEB
Christopher is the Head of Sustainable Products and Product Development at SEB where he is employed since 2003. As co-developer (together with The World Bank) and instigator of Green Bonds, he has developed concepts and mechanisms to make investors able to address climate investments in their mainstream portfolios.
In this capacity Christopher has been involved in the vast majority of Green Bonds placed to institutional investors. He is also an advisor to Governments and advising a part of the United Nations Climate Fund, by aiding decision-makers from the eight defining member-countries in creating the initial framework. SEB's overall goal is to be a prime quality provider of mainstream financial climate solutions across various financial mandates.
Prior to joining SEB, Christopher was at Nordea (Treasury), Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Deutsche Bank and Danske Bank for a total of 15 years. Among other duties he was DrKW's founding board member in IBOXX.
Christopher got his management training from Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Bank and SEB through schooling in Oxford and at INSEAD. In 2011 Christopher received an award as "personality of The Year" from Environmental Finance for the work done in connection with Green Bonds.
