With more than 20 years of investment and management experience in renewable energy and related sectors, Mr. Green serves as Senior Managing Director at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA), where he is leading the expansion of the firm’s North America renewable energy infrastructure team.

Senior Managing Director, Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA)

With more than 20 years of investment and management experience in renewable energy and related sectors, Mr. Green serves as Senior Managing Director at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA), where he is leading the expansion of the firm’s North America renewable energy infrastructure team.

Macquarie funds in North America currently invest in wind, solar, biomass and other forms of renewable energy. Macquarie has deployed over 1.5 gigawatts of renewable energy around the globe. Mr. Green has devoted his professional career to the commercialization and deployment of alternative energy, water and advanced-materials technologies.

Prior to joining Macquarie Mr. Green was one of the co-founders of VantagePoint’s CleanTech Practice, one of the largest in North America. VantagePoint led investments in numerous leading companies including Tesla Motors, BrightSource Energy, Miasole, Better Place and New Energy Capital .

Mr. Green has led five companies in the sector over the past twenty years, including Ecolink, one of the first companies to produce alternatives to ozone layer-depleting chemicals; the Strategic Chemical Management Group, an environmental management company; Team Fuel; and the Environmental Forum on Technology and Business. In 2009 Bill joined with Good Energies and Prologis to found the French PV development company, Endurance Energies.
