Road to 2020 Tool Informs Corporate Engagement on Sustainability

The Road to 2020: Corporate Progress on The Ceres Roadmap for Sustainability , an online tool assessing how 600 U.S. businesses are progressing on sustainability, can help investors focus their corporate engagement strategies on environmental, social, and governance factors, according to Jack Ehnes, CEO of the California State Teachers' Retirement System (CalSTRS). Watch his interview below.

"The report does a good job of creating a tier structure for businesses that are setting the pace and those that are just starting out," said Ehnes during the above interview at the Ceres Conference on April 25. "In order to engage [with portfolio companies], we have to have an intelligent discussion, and this is exactly the kind of tool that leads us to have that substantive engagement."
