Senior Director, Corporate Sustainability, VF Corporation
As leader of VF Corporation’s Sustainability program, Letitia Webster is responsible for creating value and reducing risk for the company as it pertains to its environmental and social impact, and leveraging sustainability to create brand equity and a competitive advantage for VF.
A passionate outdoor enthusiast and advocate for the environment, Webster joined VF in 2000 to translate her outdoor experience into business at The North Face. There, she led the strategic marketing group, which consisted of the sports marketing division, corporate communications, community relations and outdoor participation program. Webster launched The North Face sustainability program in 2006, leading the adoption of bluesign, membership with Business for Innovation, Climate and Energy Policy (BICEP) and the Outdoor Industry Association Eco-Index.
In 2011, Webster transferred to the VF headquarters to develop and lead the corporate sustainability program. By engaging and collaborating with stakeholders and industry experts, she has created the foundational infrastructure to launch programs that reduce VF’s environmental footprint on a corporatewide basis. Webster is driving a number of initiatives including launching VF’s 2014 sustainability report in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines, creating an internal sustainability scorecard to track progress and reporting to Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) on VF’s energy and carbon footprint and actions to reduce climate change impacts.
