Glenn Hurowitz is the Managing Director of Climate Advisers, a mission-driven consulting firm dedicated to delivering the low carbon economy. Glenn’s work focuses on achieving large-scale global emissions reductions at low cost. He is an internationally recognized leader in transforming agricultural supply chains to protect the world's tropical rainforests. He recently led a successful initiative that persuaded Wilmar International, Asia's largest agribusiness company and the world's largest palm oil company, to adopt a groundbreaking "No Deforestation" sourcing policy that is setting a new standard for global commodity production.
As part of his work with Climate Advisers, Glenn co-founded and helps lead Chain Reaction Research, which provides in-depth sustainability risk analysis to major financial institutions. He is also heavily involved in aviation, biofuels, and trade policy. Glenn's writing has been featured in The New York Times, The Atlantic, and Politico, and he's appeared on CNN, Bloomberg TV, NBC, National Public Radio, CBS, and many others. Glenn has served as the Director of the Tropical Forest and Climate Coalition, an alliance of Fortune 500 companies and conservation organizations. He is also executive director of Climate Advisers' campaigns affiliate, Catapult, and a Senior Fellow at the Center for International Policy.
