White House Asks BICEP Companies to Support Carbon Reductions

At the 25th Anniversary Ceres Conference in Boston last week, BICEP hosted a packed breakfast to celebrate our achievements over the past year and look at what’s to come in the year ahead.

At the 25th Anniversary Ceres Conference in Boston last week, BICEP hosted a packed breakfast to celebrate our achievements over the past year and look at what’s to come in the year ahead. We were joined by Mike Boots, Acting Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality who shared the Administration’s progress on the Climate Action Plan and urged private sector leaders to publically support the Environmental Protection Agency’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

The carbon pollution standards for existing power plants are due out in June, and are the single largest step the U.S. can make in the coming years to sharply reduce carbon emissions and show other nations that the U.S. is ready to lead in the international climate treaty talks in Paris in 2015.
