Ryan is Manager of the Oil & Gas Program at Ceres, where he works with investors, companies, and policymakers to address the oil and gas industry's impacts on climate change, air and water quality, biodiversity, and communities. He focuses on mitigating the mounting risks of developing unconventional resources such as oil sands, shale oil and gas and deepwater offshore oil, as well as seizing the opportunities of investing in clean, renewable energy.
Prior to joining Ceres, Ryan was Energy Policy Advisor for the National Wildlife Federation in Washington, DC. He holds a master's of science in Ecological Planning from the University of Vermont.
