Nina Birger joined Ceres in 2012 as an Associate in Development. In this role, Nina writes foundation reports and proposals, manages grants, and oversees foundation relationships.

Before joining Ceres, Nina worked as a paralegal at a boutique New York law firm specializing in criminal defense. She participated in numerous cases, including a federal trial in the spring of 2012.

Nina received her B.A. from Tufts University, where she majored in English Literature and Peace and Justice Studies (PJS). Within PJS, she focus on the transnational climate protection movement. While at Tufts, Nina conducted research on environmental and climate justice, and she interned with Massachusetts 350.org and Green Pro Bono, a Boston based start up.
