Kristen Lang is a Director in the Corporate Program at Ceres, advising Ceres member companies on sustainability strategy, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. With a decade of experience in sustainability, Kristen works with company leadership to strengthen and implement environmental, social, and governance (ESG) business strategies and advance performance. Kristen leads Ceres engagement with companies in the footwear and apparel sector, and also works with companies in the consumer product and technology sectors. Building upon her engagement with these companies, Kristen also co-leads Ceres work related to building sustainable global supply chains.
In 2010, Kristen was part of the team that created The 21st Century Corporation: the Ceres Roadmap for Sustainability, a practical framework for developing a comprehensive sustainable business strategy, and now heads all related work for Ceres. In 2012 Kristen led the development of the first assessment of corporate progress to meet the expectations laid forth in The Ceres Roadmap, The Road to 2020: Corporate Progress on the Ceres Roadmap for Sustainability, and in 2014 led the release of Ceres' second assessment, Gaining Ground.
Prior to joining Ceres, Kristen was the Manager of Finance for a Cambridge-based environmental non-profit. She graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in environmental science and government.
