Chief Financial Officer
Gordon serves as Ceres’ Chief Financial Officer. In this role he is responsible for managing the overall long-term financial health of the organization as well as the integrity of the financial systems. Gordon joined Ceres as COO in 2007 and served in that capacity until 2010, when the COO and CFO role was split. He served as CFO through July 2014 and returned to Ceres in October 2015.
Prior to joining Ceres, Gordon was a practicing CPA both with international accounting firms and in his own practice. He has also served as finance manager of the SmartWood program at the Rainforest Alliance, executive director of the Vermont Economic Progress Council, and associate director of the Vermont Institute of Natural Science.
Gordon has a B.A. in Psychology from Miami University (Ohio), a Master’s in Accounting from Colorado State and a MPA in Environmental Policy from the University of Washington. Gordon is an avid distance runner and founder of the Vermont City Marathon.
