Gordon MacFarland serves as Chief Financial Officer and joined Ceres in 2007. Gordon supports the President, ED/COO, and program directors in developing and implementing strategic and operating financial plans and oversees the finance and operations team.

Berkley is a Senior Associate in the Water Program. In this role, she works with Ceres members on activities designed to address water risks in company operations, supply chains and investment portfolios. She also conducts research on the impacts of water risk in various sectors including food and beverage, oil and gas, and electric power. Berkley is co-author of a recent Ceres study on water risk, The Ceres Aqua Gauge: A Framework for 21st Century Water Risk Management.

Amy is a Director in the Corporate Program, advising Ceres member companies on sustainability strategy, reporting and stakeholder engagement. With more than 10 years of experience in sustainability, Amy works directly with company leadership to strengthen and implement environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategies, directly engaging companies in the airline, apparel, automobile, healthcare and media sectors. Angela Bonarrigo joined Ceres as the Director of the Washington, DC office in June 2011, bringing more than 20 years of experience in energy and environmental campaign communications to her role as Ceres national legislative point person. Today, Angela provides strategic advice to senior management and program staff on energy-related policy and legislative issues, while working within the beltway to further Ceres policy priorities.

Jim Coburn directs Ceres’ efforts to improve mandatory climate and sustainability risk disclosure by corporations. Drawing from his legal background, Jim helps to develop rules and guidance on reporting that strengthen corporate risk management practices and improve investor decisions. He most recently played an integral role in leading the initiative that resulted in the SEC’s issuance of groundbreaking climate disclosure guidance for corporations in 2010.

Siobhan Collins joined Ceres in 2012 as a Coordinator for the Ceres Investor Programs team. Jeff came to Ceres in 2011 after working for Congresswoman Betsy Markey in Washington, DC, and in Colorado, most recently as Field Director for her 2010 reelection campaign. He assists the Policy team in their work on energy and environmental policy through the Business for Innovative Climate and Energy Policy (BICEP) and Investor Network on Climate Risk (INCR) programs. Originally from Colorado, Jeff received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn.

Anne Kelly is an environmental attorney with twenty years of experience in the private sector and in state and federal regulatory agencies. Currently she is the Co-Director of Policy at Ceres, a non-profit coalition of investors and public interest groups working toward sustainable prosperity. She is also a principal in the law and mediation firm, Creative Resolutions, LLC based in Boston.

Sharlene works with insurers, insurance regulators and investors to raise awareness of climate risk within the insurance industry and to discover opportunities for business innovation in responding to climate change. Her focus includes the role insurers and risk modelers play in driving climate adaptation within the public and private sectors; climate investment risks and opportunities with a particular focus on municipal bonds and energy efficiency finance; and product innovation in response to climate change.

Since joining Ceres in 2002, Andrew has launched and directs two program areas for the organization. The first focuses on working with investors to engage the oil sector on key sustainability issues including climate change, biodiversity and water. Cynthia McHale is a director in the Insurance Program at Ceres. She brings more than 20 years of experience serving many of the leading North American and European insurers, re-insurers and insurance brokers to promote and expand their commitment to, and implementation of climate risk adaptation and mitigation strategies. To accomplish this, Cynthia works across the insurance sector to deepen its collective understanding of the risks and opportunities introduced by climate change, and to define winning strategies that protect and grow shareholder value.

Dan conceived, developed and helped launch Ceres’ 21st Century Utility Initiative, an effort to align electric utility business models, planning processes and investment decisions with the challenge of reducing power sector greenhouse gas emissions 50-80 percent. Dan also developed and managed Ceres’ July 2010 report, The 21st Century Electric Utility: Positioning for a Low-Carbon Future, and has presented its findings to electric utilities, industry groups, investors, financial firms and advocates.

David Ziv-Kreger has more than two decades of experience in the start-up and development of innovative not-for-profit initiatives. David came to Ceres in 2006, where he serves as Director of Development, working with the development team to secure the resources needed to fuel Ceres' initiatives from foundation, corporate and government sources, as well as from a growing numbers of generous and forward-thinking individuals.
