Mindy S. Lubber JD, MBA

President

Mindy S. Lubber is the president of Ceres and a founding board member of the organization. She also directs Ceres’ Investor Network on Climate Risk (INCR), a group of 100 institutional investors managing nearly $10 trillion in assets focused on the business risks and opportunities of climate change. Mindy regularly speaks about corporate and investor sustainability issues to high-level leaders at the New York Stock Exchange, United Nations, World Economic Forum, Clinton Global Initiative, American Accounting Association, American Bar Association and more than 100 Fortune 500 firms. She has led negotiating teams of investors, NGOs and Fortune 500 company CEOs who have taken far-reaching positions on corporate practices to minimize carbon emissions, water use and other environmental impacts. She has briefed powerful corporate boards, from Nike to American Electric Power, on how climate change affects shareholder value.

He previously served with the Union of Concerned Scientists as Director of the Climate & Energy Program, UCS’s largest program, and Harvard Business School where he was Project Director in the launch of the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative.

Amy is a Director in the Corporate Program, advising Ceres member companies on sustainability strategy, reporting and stakeholder engagement. With more than 10 years of experience in sustainability, Amy works directly with company leadership to strengthen and implement environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategies, directly engaging companies in the airline, apparel, automobile, healthcare and media sectors. Amy also leads specific initiatives and projects related to The 21st Century Corporation: The Ceres Roadmap for Sustainability.

Dan oversees Ceres’ electric power and coal research, shareholder engagement, and furthers the understanding of environmental risks, with a particular focus on climate risk. He works closely with Ceres coalition members, including environmental, investor, labor and public interest groups, to engage in dialogues with electric power companies, which often involve a comprehensive review of environmental policies, performance, and disclosure practices.

Drawing from his legal background, Jim helps to develop rules and guidance on reporting that strengthen corporate risk management practices and improve investor decisions. He most recently played an integral role in leading the initiative that resulted in the SEC’s issuance of groundbreaking climate disclosure guidance for corporations in 2010.
