Karen Patterson Greene is Senior Manager for Planning and Evaluation. She works with Program teams, Development, Communications, Finance, Human Resources and organizational leadership to ensure that Ceres’ strategic and annual planning processes strengthen and scale Ceres’ efforts to build a sustainable future for people and the planet. She also leads Ceres’ internal evaluation efforts.

Karen joined Ceres in 2013 and initially served on the Development team, identifying funding needs, articulating success stories, and developing compelling cases for funder support. Prior to joining Ceres, Karen served as a project manager for local grassroots environmental organizations, including the Charles River Conservancy, MassRecycle, the Waltham Land Trust and the Great Swamp Watershed Association (NJ). 

She holds a BA (Clark University) and an MS (Virginia Tech) in Geography, and a Masters in Public Policy (Tufts University). She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, two sons, and their Labrador Retrievers Jersey and Bella.
