Recognition and Awards
Over the years, Ceres has been recognized and awarded for its accomplishments. Most recently, Ceres and President Mindy S. Lubber (left) was named by the United Nations and the Foundation for Social Change as one of the World's Top Leaders of Change, in recognition of Ceres' work in mobilizing leading companies to integrate environmental challenges into their core business strategies.
In November 2009, Ceres also received Global Green USA's Organizational Design Award, in recognition of Ceres' design of Business for Innovative Climate & Energy Policy (BICEP) and the Investor Network on Climate Risk (INCR), describing them as "two groundbreaking efforts that have done a great deal to advance efforts to address global climate change and build sustainability into the fabric of the capital markets."
Other awards include:
- Ceres President Mindy Lubber named by Directorship Magazine as one of 2009's most influential leaders in corporate governance
- Ceres received the 2008 Wainwright Bank Social Justice Award
- Ceres founder Joan Bavaria won the Charles R. Schwab IMPACT Award, 2008
- Ceres President Mindy Lubber named one of Plenty Magazine's "Plenty 20", 2008
- Fast Company/Monitor Group Social Capitalist Award, 2007 and 2008
- Ceres President Mindy Lubber named one of the "100 Most Influential Players" in the corporate governance movement by Directorship Magazine, 2007
- Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneuership, 2006
