2012 Revenue & Expenses
In 2012 Ceres changed its fiscal year end from December 31 to October 31 and we reported a 10-month year for FY2012. The pie charts indicate the percentage of various revenue sources and expenses during the 10 months.
Grants continued as our largest source of revenue, at 60 percent, with company and member fees next at 22 percent. The change in fiscal year impacted the portion from contributions.
Eighty one percent of the FY2012 expenses directly supported our four program areas.
Climate and Clean Energy accounted for 29 percent of all programmatic expenses with Water, our fastest growing program, at 10 percent.
Total unrestricted reserves at October 31, 2012 were $2.3 million, providing Ceres a buffer in the event of an economic downturn.
