Mr. Halperin is founder and President of Designing Sustainability. His work connects philanthropy, public policy, business and investment.  He works across a range of issues and sectors including food/beverage and agriculture; health and hunger; climate and energy; land, water and ecosystems.

Alongside the full suite of external affairs and communications functions, Halperin and his teams design campaigns; incubate new programs; choreograph specialized engagements with investors, partners, and stakeholders; and provide strategic issues management.  His communications work includes development of campaign platforms for documentary films such as Hope in a Changing Climate and A Place at the Table.

He has more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit and commercial organizations such as SustainAbility, Ltd., Resources for the Future, and FYI Resources for a Changing World.  He has provided research-based strategic counsel to executives at Unilever, Chevron, Greyston, Hewlett-Packard, Nestle, and DuPont as well as to nonprofit organizations such as Mundo Verde, The Institute for Responsible Nutrition, The Washington Center for Psychoanalysis, The James Beard Foundation, and World Animal Protection.

He serves on a number of nonprofit boards, is a frequent public speaker, and provides commentary as a trusted source for print and electronic journalists.
